Welcome back from the long weekend.
Hope you enjoyed your time off! I ran the Stra Lugano with some of my other teacher friends. Epic!

Here's today's homework:
(Reminder: Tomorrow is a Monday Schedule. Only C and D period classes meet)

For all classes, if you received a C or less on your test, you MUST make corrections to hand in by your next class. Write in a different colored pen or pencil, corrections for all problems which you missed points on the test. Check your notes and homework to help you!

Hey guys, here is an outline of what you need to know for your tests, with some short (easy) examples:
Study hard, email me with any questions! (daniel.schiff@tasis.ch)

INTEGRATED MATH 1- you may use a calculator, NOT a phone
  • Direct vs. Inverse Variation- solving for k
  • Distributing 3xy ( 2x + 5 )
  • FOILing ( 2x + 7 ) ( 3x - 1)
  • Factoring out a GCF: 10x + 25
  • Factoring by Grouping: 3a + 6 + 4a + 8
  • Factoring a trinomial: x2 + 5x + 6
  • Expanding and Simplifying: 4 ( a + 3 ) + ( 2a + 5 ) ( 3a + 1 )
INTEGRATED MATH 2
  • Bias and 5 types of Sampling Methods: (cluster, convenience, random, stratified, systematic)
  • Cross multiplication
  • Isolating a variable involving fractions
  • Solving for slope given two points ( -3, 2 ) and ( 7, 5 )
  • Solving for the y intercept given a slope and point: m = -2 and ( 4, -3 )
  • Graphing in Standard Equation: y = mx + b

Homework Wed 9.26

Don't forget all classes have a test on Friday!

C and D Periods:
Your only homework is to review and study. The math help center hours are posted on the blog

H Period Integrated 1:
page 89 # 2 a, c, g and 3 d
page 99 # 1 h, j

G Unit Integrated 2:
Try the following problems:

Find the equation of  the line that is perpendicular to y = -3x + 2  passing through the point ( -4, 1 )

What is the perpendicular slope to the line containing the points ( -4, 6 ) and ( 5, 1 )

Graph:
y = 3x - 1
y = -x
y = -5/3 x + 10
