Int1 and Int2 Test Review

Hey guys, here is an outline of what you need to know for your tests, with some short (easy) examples:

INTEGRATED MATH 1- you may use a calculator, NOT a phone
  • Direct vs. Inverse Variation- solving for k
  • Distributing 3xy ( 2x + 5 )
  • FOILing ( 2x + 7 ) ( 3x - 1)
  • Factoring out a GCF: 10x + 25
  • Factoring by Grouping: 3a + 6 + 4a + 8
  • Factoring a trinomial: x2 + 5x + 6
  • Expanding and Simplifying: 4 ( a + 3 ) + ( 2a + 5 ) ( 3a + 1 )
INTEGRATED MATH 2
  • Bias and 5 types of Sampling Methods: (cluster, convenience, random, stratified, systematic)
  • Cross multiplication
  • Isolating a variable involving fractions
  • Solving for slope given two points ( -3, 2 ) and ( 7, 5 )
  • Solving for the y intercept given a slope and point: m = -2 and ( 4, -3 )
  • Graphing in Standard Equation: y = mx + b
  • Domain and Range: All Real vs. Segment vs. Ray
  • Parallel and Perpendicular Slopes

y = -5/3 x + 10

        Y = 2x + 1 passing through the point (-2, 1 ) 

            3. Find the equation of the line perpendicular to:    y= ½ x – 4 passing through the point (0, 2)
            4. What is the perpendicular slope to the line containing the points:  ( 3, 5) and ( -6, 9 )
