1. Mr. Schwartz invests 890 chf in to an account that earns 8 percent interest weekly for three years. How much more money will he earn in this account than he would in a simple interest account?
2. A car that was worth 35,000 euro last year, is worth 33,500 euro this year. What percentage discount is the car at this year?
3.A car traveling at an average of 50 kilometers per hour travels from Lugano to campus in 5 minutes 30 seconds. How far is the drive (please give your answer in km or meters)?
4. A shooting star travels at 5.8 x 10^8 km per hour. Please convert the speed in to meters per minute and give the answer in scientific notation.

1. The cost to enter the Lido is 8 chf for the enterance, and 2 chf for every five minutes in the hot tub.

      b. If someone spent thirty francs, how much time did they spend in the hot tub?
2. The price for a week in a hotel is $80 and each additional day after is only $10 per day. If someone wanted to stay at this hotel for the month of November (30 days), how much would it cost?
      a. Gulli checks out of the hotel and his total is $150. How many nights in total did he stay?
      b. What is the cost of the second week?
3. Solve for x:
    .76 + .24x = 1.97
    1.43 - .15x = 13
